MALTA ENTERPRISE MEASURES

The Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, provides assistance to manufacturing businesses operating from Gozo, by reducing the additional inter-island transportation costs of materials, goods and finished goods between Malta and Gozo.

This assistance serves to reduce cost disadvantages for Gozo-based manufacturers, making these businesses in a better position to compete effectively within the single market.

To be eligible for the Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, the applicant must be:

- a Gozo based undertakings engaged in manufacturing and in possession of an entitlement certificate confirming that the Corporation is satisfied that all or a significant part of the manufacturing activity is being carried out in Gozo;

- general partnership, limited partnership or a Limited Liability Company; 

- anybody of persons constituted, incorporated or registered outside Malta, and of a nature similar to the above; 

- cooperatives.

To be eligible for the Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, applicants must carry out manufacturing activities.

The call for the Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, expires on 2023-12-31.

The costs eligible for the Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, are:

- transport expenses incurred using owned or leased commercial vehicles;

- subcontracted haulage expenses;

- courier services.

The maximum amount of aid that may be provided by the Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, a grant is up to €200,000.

The type of financing provided by the Gozo Transportation Scheme, financed by Malta Enterprise, is awarded in the form of a grant.

The funding body for the Gozo Transportation Scheme is Malta Enterprise.
