BUSINESS ENHANCE

The SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme, financed by Business Enhance, aims to promote entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and fostering the creation of new firms, including through business incubators.

To be eligible for the SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme, financed by Business Enhance, the applicant must be a micro, small and medium-sized enterprise engaged in economic activity, irrespective of their legal form.

To be eligible for the SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme, financed by Business Enhance, recipients can carry out any activity except for:

- agriculture, forestry and fishing;

- processing and marketing of agricultural products;

- manufacturing, processing and marketing of tobacco and tobacco products;

- public entities with the exception of commercial undertakings carrying out exclusively economic activity in direct competition with third parties and in which the Government has a controlling interest;

- energy generation, distribution and infrastructure;

- the steel sector;

- the coal sector;

- the shipbuilding sector;

- the transport sector;

- the synthetic fibers sector;

- financial and insurance activities;

- real estate activities;

- intra-group activities;

- activities of head offices;

- gambling and betting activities;

- investment to achieve the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions;

- actions resulting in training and mentoring activities;

- actions resulting in the design and production of advertising material;

- actions resulting in the decommissioning or the construction of nuclear power stations;

- actions resulting in investment in airport infrastructure unless related to environmental protection or accompanied by investment necessary to mitigate or reduce its negative environmental impact;

- undertakings engaged in illegal economic activity.

The call for the SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme, financed by Business Enhance, expires on 2023-12-31. 

The costs eligible for the SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme, financed by Business Enhance, are:

- business plan costs;

- feasibility study;

- organization and operations review;

- process and systems review.

The maximum amount that may be provided by the SME Consultancy Services Grant Scheme, financed by Business Enhance, to an undertaking shall not exceed €4,000 representing an aid intensity of 80% of the eligible costs.
